Nobody pulls out in front of Dallas because when he's on the bike, they see him smiling from a mile away.

It's a mix in SoCal. Some move courteously to the side to give you a clear path, some aren't paying attention (cell moms), and some seem like they're trying to box you in. I don't give anyone the benefit of the doubt.

Cagers around here are OK, but for every one good cager there are ten bad ones IMO. The one good one is more than likely a bike owner.

It's just courtesy. When I'm in a car I'll let other cars come onto the road from drive ways and parking lots if I see them soon enough and I will be blocking the driveway when I stop. I let others in hoping that when I'm waiting to get into traffic somebody will let me in.

Most people appreciate looking at a pretty motorcycle. If they let you into their lane of traffic that gives them more time to admire your ride.

NJ is the most crowded state when it comes to cars, etc. But most of the time they are cool with letting me pull out like the original poster's scenario. I think they want to look at and watch the bike, too.

And yes, when I'm in the car, I give bikes all kinds of room. Sometimes I forget I'm in the car, and almost wave at a bike going the other way... [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Brian

Can't blame some of the cagers for having a bad attitude towards "bikers", given some of the Aholes on crotch rockets out there.
