Default Rain sock advice

I've got a hammer impact air cleaner and looking for a rain sock to fit it. looking for any suggestions, as I have a tendency to get caught in the rain.

I don't have the Hammer but I do have a K&N Air Charger intake. Its filter element has a lot more surface area open to the elements than the Hammer, but I've never run a rain sock...and I've been caught in numerous downpours with no issues whatsoever. I don't think they're necessary unless you're literally riding in a monsoon, but I'm sure some will disagree.

I used to keep the sock on all the time but I stopped after I switched out my busted a/c for a new one. Im sticking it back on later because im riding in the rain up to NC tomorrow.

Look through the harley gma14 catalog for a sock. If you want one that is... not 100% on the panty hose thing. May work.. ?

I'll never give up my fishnets, neVAR!! Oh wait...I mean, er...

Years ago my 275 gallon fuel oil tank at the house was showing signs of needing to be cleaned so I pumped out the fuel into 5 gallon containers and cleanered her up. The fuel was re-useable, 'just a little dirty, and I wanted to filter it and put it back into the tank but I lacked the proper filter media. So I thought about my situation and a went off over my head...I went in the house and asked my oldest daughter if she had a used pair of panty hose I could have. Having no idea of what my intentions were she looked at me strangely and said..."Um...Dad? What are you going to use them for? You're not going to..."...it was then that I interupted her and explained about using them to filter the fuel for the oil burner and she made a sigh of relief...I then batted my eyelashes, and we both had a good laugh!

There are lots of things found in the home that have multiple purposes or uses, panty hose being one of them! Just don't get caugh wearing them, either on your legs or over your head, at least not in public anyway, heehee!!

If I was going to have my bike sitting outside in the rain I would put a Ziploc bag over it but. If I know its going to rain while I'm at work I might cover it. If you run a stock ham can while its raining that opening will scoop up water just as much as an open filter in not more. I wouldn't sweat it. K and N filters are easily reoiled in minutes.
