There are a few extant threads on tool kit recommendations; however, many of them are a bit dated. Wanted to find out/ask for some recommendations for a portable, good, not "too big" tool kit for the road (think cross country riding) - my bike is a 2013 1200C.
Thanks in advance for recommendations/comments/advice.
$200 without tools or $350.00 with a handful of tools? Count me out. That is crazy. Cruz is the best deal going.
I agree. When I saw $350 I was like no way. You really have to look at the reality of what repairs you might face while travelling. If touring the ability to fix a flat would be top of the list. Second would be to be able to fix a burned out bulb of any type. If a person keeps there bike well maintained stuff like cables breaking won't ever be an issue and how many people carry a spare clutch , throttle/idles cables in there bags?
So for me a tire plug kit with inflator, Multip screwdriver with torx and regular. A couple different size adjustable wrenches.. and the best tool my Cell Phone. I put all those tools in and old Crown Royal bag and throw them at the bottom of my saddle bags.
