Want set of bags that either throw over or quick detach that doesn't require turn signal relocation. Was looking at Viking bags and sounds like theirs all require turn relocation. Going on my 07 xl1200c.
Upon a lot of continued searching I will have to go with the relocation for any bag besides swing arm bag. Anyone use Leather Lyke or have alternative suggestions for detachable in the $400 price range
I have several sets of cheap bags- vinyl "throw overs" that I cut apart and attach to the bike with easy brackets. I buy large bags (easily hold a large lap top and lotsa other stuff)- they have handles so I can use them like luggage. easy brackets have keys so the bags can be locked on the bike, or unlock them and take them with you.
My bags usually come from the same place and are always less than $100. They last about 4 or 5 years. The only thing that goes wrong is the metal parts begin to show some rust... I have some old ones that I still use when I don't care how the metal looks (because they are really big).
Thanks for the options to look into. Only concern with some throw overs is my ecm location. I like the easy bracket concept and that they have a kit that accommodates my detachable backrest.
