Default Removing SE baffles

Been trying to get these out but no luck. SE street performance exhaust, 50 state legal. I removed the two screws holding the baffle and tried pulling on the baffle with some vise grips as well as trying to hammer them out from the other end....they haven't budged

Here a pic of the slipon from the header end

and the back end

Any ideas?

Not made to be easily removed.
You might think the louder muffler is cool but back pressure is needed for torque.
Removing the baffles, you lose back pressure (and power).

Just ride it that way, it'll probably fall out soon enough. Car following you might not appreciate it...

Won't be 50 state legal anymore, be like drag pipes, just be a tube that's wider in the middle. If you did ride it till it fell out, would probably feel a power loss instantly, especially if you have a carbed bike. Might be interesting if it happened with a cop behind you...

I replaced mine with cycle shack baffles. I had to beat the hell out of them from the header side. I used a piece of pipe with a large socket (1-1/4 I think) slipped over the end of it to bulk up the contact at the baffle. I was wishing I had a handle from a floor jack. I think that would've been the perfect size. Also used a lot of WD-40 and a rubber mallet on the outlet side where the baffles contact the exhaust pipe. Good luck!

On mine the first one popped right out, and I thought ...this is gonna be easy! The second one was a bear. It didn't come out until I decided I was going to get it out or break the pipe. I guess I was being too gentle until I assumed that attitude!

My issue is that all i'm doing is opening up the flap more rather than getting the baffle out. It has not budged...the holes where the screws hold onto the baffle are still perfectly lined up. It hasn't even moved 1mm.

Squirt some silicon spray in there, use a heat gun to warm up the outside, spray more silicon and then proceed to bang on it.
Best way I found to go when doing the banging part was to stand it up on a piece of wood, stick another chunk of wood down the header end then - WHAM!
