Installed HID light the other day and now when i turn the key on the alarm goes off and it won't start. Is there an easy way around this? I have an 07 nightster. I don't understand why the light has anything to do with setting the alarm off

d'123, I'm not hip on the alarm circuitry but have you checked to see if the bike is throwing any codes? Run the diagnostics on it to see...there might be a hint offered there...

Did you disconnect the battery / main fuse without turning the bike on first? If you don't turn it on first to disarm the alarm, you'll trip it into thinking it's being stolen. Unfortunately, as far as I know you'll need a dealer to unlock the bike, because the alarm immobilizer got tripped.
Its a plug n play kit. Sometimes if i turn the bike on then turn it off then back on again it will start. I will check the diagnostic and see what comes up. Thanks for the replies!
