Thanks for the replies. I too have scraped the pegs. It's running 30-40 mph on twisties the *** end slides out to where I need to ride into the slide. Gonna change them out to Commander II

Anyone can drag pegs, on a right hand turn from a dead stop going 4mph. Even the dunrocks that were on my bike when I got it could do that. When you see that 30mph suggestion on the sign with the wavy line and you run through it with the same tires at 50, them hard as a rock OEM spec tires will do what the OP has observed.
Dragging pegs at 4mph is a whole lot different than 50 in that 30 suggested curve.
OEM spec tires suck for traction and ride quality. OP is best off going with a better tire, Im pretty sure he is riding a little more spirited than some of the other peg grinders on here.

I thout they were law at one time too. A police officer friend told me some years ago they are not.
