I have a rigid mount engine. I don't have any vibrations worth complaining about at any speed.

70mph is pretty damn smooth on my bike. It starts vibrating more at 80+ but it's still not bad at all.

Yes and the mirrors are a blur. The local Stealer took it for a ride and said it was normal.Never had this with any of my Jap bikes.I finally got a HD and it rides very rough IMHO.New seat ,grips and pegs helped.I think I should have gotten a bigger HD.

Sportsters are definatley not the cadillacs of the bike world tcsblues, what they are are pure raw motorcycling fun though. How long have you had your bike? At first whenI got mine I thought the vibration was a little much after owning Jap bikes before but a few months later I forgot about it and it doesn't bother me at all now.

I noticed alot of vibration in my 2005 883 Sporty Custom at 70 and above unless I push the my boots hard against the pegs, but doing that makes it quite tolerable. Haven't had it up to 80 yet to see if it smooths out again, but do plan to test that. Sporties are more manueverable than the big twins but have to work at higher RPMs at those speeds hence the vibration and the way the engine is mounted.

Was doing some reading last night and am I correct that neither the Springers nor the Dyna's handle as well as the Sporties even?
