Mine also vibrates a little more between 60-65 MPH...and then smoothes out when I get in the 70+ range. The aftermarket pipes definitely gave me a little more vibration at all speeds, but nothing annoying.
I noticed alot of vibration just in the pegs of my 2005 883 Sporty Custom at 70 and above unless I push the my boots hard against the pegs, but doing that makes it quite tolerable. Haven't had it up to 80 yet to see if it smooths out again, but do plan to test that. Sporties are more manueverable than the big twins but have to work at higher RPMs at those speeds hence the vibration and the way the engine is mounted.
Was doing some reading last night and am I correct that neither the Springers nor the Dyna's handle as well as the Sporties even?

your kind of right , quicker steering and curve carving ability has alot to do with the suspension, rake and maximum lean angle. when you change any of these it changes all the variables. springers dont handle curves as well as sportys and dynas because of there front suspension. if you lower a bike or drop the rear end and alter the lean angle and rake it wont corner near as well as a stock bike or one with a better suspension. I wouldnt bet a superglide rider I could carve crooked roads better than him unless I knew he was new to the game.
any sporty riders have problems with vibration at say 70mph or over?
My 1200R is pretty solid. Has a slight vibration around 4k RPM, but not so bad you can't see what's in the mirrors. Actually smoother than my metric Cruiser.
