Wanting to see behind me, I switched my stock mirrors for some long stemmed, but stout, machined aluminum ones.
Now the objects in the rear view are not only closer than they appear, but are now seen in double vision. Reminds me of my old ironhead and how I had to grab hold of the mirror to steady it to see if the car coming up behind me was an officer of the law or just another car.
Has anyone successfully dealt with this vibration issue? Do I need more vibration isolation or a more solid mount? Either way, what did you do to solve the problem?
If you got the regular, non-convex mirrors that's a problem that can't be solved AFAIK.
I remember on my old '77 FXE that the mirrors were about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Too much vibration. The newer convex, 'Objects Are Closer Than They Appear' are an irritant to some but they do cut down on the funhouse mirror vibration.

Theres a crazy long thread about shimming your front motor mount. Seems to have solved the vibration problem for allot of people.
Mine had no viberations until all the work was done to it. They told me since i opened up the throat of the beast, i will have it. i can't see **** that is clear in mine. it's quadruple vision
Check these guys out. Found them doing an internet search one day.
Dont really know anything about them. Seems like a good answer
to the vibe issue. For the price it better be.
I got the HD Script Teardrop mirrors and they do NOT vibrate. I set them, forget all about it. They are not LONG stem though. . . . I can see pretty well with them though. Love the way they look.
