Hi All
i recently purchased a 1200n, 2008 model. The problem is when i purchased the bike the speedo had a broken face and the needle damaged due to an item falling from the last owners garage rood onto the bike, also damaged the fuel tank but thats sorted now. I have purchased a brand new speedo off e bay showing zero miles, is there anyway i can set the miles on the new speedo to match my original speedo so all my paperwork still matches up e.t.c
I recently replaced my speedo with a digital model. It came with a cable that you plug into your bike under the battery cover. It goes through a sequence and marries the speedo to the bike. im not sure how yours will come but thats how the new ones from hd come. goodluck hope this helped.

+1 on this. I would think the new speedo comes w/ that cable. If not. I think I may still have mine from my HD digital speedo laying around but I'm not sure. I'd have to dig.
Hd will do it (set the milage) for you when you order it. The refused to update the used one i bought. Im sure theres a way to do it yourself. But i didn't care enough to go looking for that method
