Bought this bike in early May. I haven't been riding as much as I'd like due to the weather. When it's not over 90 degrees, it's been storming every day and I'm a new rider, so still not sure about riding in the rain just yet. I take it out probably one day a weekend for an hour or so.
Yesterday it finally sputtered on me about half a mile from home, when I pushed the enrichener back in. It just did it once and I rode it hard to the next gas station, never sputtered again so I didn't put it on reserve.
Took me 3.25 gallons and just over $12. I know it's supposed to sputter when I have one gallon in reserve but I went below that. Anyone else have that experience?
I sure can get used to $12 fill ups, that's for sure.
That completely slipped my mind. For some reason I was thinking 4 gallon instead of 4.5 gallon.
Guess it skipped cause maybe I pushed the enrichener in too fast?
Yeah, that is probably what happened... if I push the enricher fully in before it's warmed up and give it some gas, it will sometimes sputter like it wants to quit running. That will only happen for me on a cold morning, or especially when I haven't ridden the bike for a few days.
Now get out there and ride that thing! You should be filling up every two days, not every two months!!
