Default Noob Battery Question

Hey guys, Tomorrow morning I will be chopping my rear fender and relocating my rear brake and license plate to the left side(I have the Canadian model). I have a new brake light so I will have to cut and rewire the wires to the new light.

My noob question is since I will be cutting and splicing wire should I completely take the battery out or will I be fine just taking out the main fuse?

Im fairly handy and good with tools but when it comes to electric Im not so great haha.

Not a bad idea to pull the battery. Only takes a couple minutes. Post some pictures when you're done.

Thumbs up

Removing or disconnecting your battery is a mechanical thing - it involves nuts and bolts! Very wise when working on the wiring.
