Software Bugs?!
Hi,
Just been out for my first proper ride on the Sportster S.
Thought I'd give the sat nav a go. Wow, its pants!!! Couldn't get it to ignore motorways at all, selected the option to ignore and it still sent me on the motorway. Decided to set it going and start on the B roads thinking it would adapt. No, if you vary off the set route you are just basically lost and it doesn't recalculate route!!
Then when I had stopped I thought I would look at my remaining fuel on the app, no point it hadn't updated at all, in fact it is still showing full even now (its not the bike shows the correct amount though)!!
Then I set the destination home and decided to go the route it suggested on the motorway, set off and looked down at the screen and it was just squares again, would let me zoom in/out and when I pressed the button to move to your position on the map it just blanked out.
Add that to the fact it wont connect to my helmet, at all, ALL the screen tech bits don't work.
Disappointing is not the word.

There is a firmware update. It's actually a recall, might help? Not sure about the navigation. I prefer google maps anyway, so having my phone mounted to the top of the Sportster S tank, I can see that just as good as the display.
I never use HD maps on my Road Glide. Looks like a 20 year old garmin. Apple car play, with google maps is my preference.
