Hi guys sorry for the delay i came down with a bad hit of covid when in Melbourne, that **** is real btw!
I put a VB# power vision tuner on the sportster S same one for the PANAM, Power vision have no maps for this model as yet, we removed the speed limiters on all gears this makes a massive difference, Fred @ proccycle Dyno in Queensland spent 3 days trying to remap the bike needed a firmware update from power vision,
We are still awaiting another update based on Fred’s feedback, which is setting the fuel maps as the rear o2 sensor keeps throwing the engine light, basically there’s still some unlocking required to sort out the fuel mix correctly
However it pulls harder than a school boy as it is will keep you posted, if you require a more detailed explanation i will ask Fred his expert opinion he was talking of vets or something he’s still not happy with were the bike is and says there’s a lot more to pull out of him, which is kinda scary in itself
Hey mate any updates with the tuning ?
Hoping to do something with mine. Definitely needs a tune with the new exhaust. Also were you able to remove the neutral rev limiter ?
cheers
Thanks for the reply mate, So you were able to remove the rev limiters using the power vision ? Also was your tuner able to tune it at all with the power vision ?
Bike is going back in on the Dyno Tuesday. Power vision now have a tune for the Sportser s and should enable the VE tables to be properly manipulated happy to share the tune after its done i also put the home plate air cleaner on the bike only 5% more flow but hey its a start.
Yes was able to remove the limiters things a monster with TC off
So I spoke with a tech at power vision and yes, they show the tuner available for the S on the site, but the tech was surprised at this as their tuner cannot talk with the bikes computer yet.
