No. It's a different engine, it's not a tune change. The Sportster S uses the 1250T engine, not the 1250 as used in the Pan America. The Sportster S has more torque down low than the Pan America, it has a different intake, different valves, tighter ports, different cams, different geometry in the combustion chamber.
If you wanted to change the gas tank, intake, heads and cams and all that to Pan America parts, then you might be able to get to the 150hp of the Pan America engine, but then you'd be sacrificing the additional torque the Sportster S's engine develops.
Hi Ive had the sportster s in the Dyno for the past couple of weeks, the power vision v3 fits the sportster s with a firmware update to allow access to the fuel mixture
Ive had it remapped for the new exhaust hoping to get him back on Tuesday.
Fred at Procycle has worked hard on the fuel mixture, he said the stock map was a bit of a pig. Looks like the quoted 121hp is at the fly wheel as the bike stock produced 113hp at the rear wheel, after the retune and exhaust it puts out 121hp at the wheel apparently the biggest gains are in the low to midrange with even more torque!
Theres more to work out with it. There was a flat spot on the take off after the new exhaust went on but now its super crisp and responsive.

Every manufacturer rates their Hp/Tq at the crank vs fly wheel.

I just spoke with a tuner and he wanted me to find out if Dynojet has any "base improved" map. Did you use any base tune or did your tuner just start with the stock map, unlock and start from there?

My partner and I have been hunting for more information in regards to tuning as well. Overlooked the "T" in regards to engine and we had debated on going with the pan am tuning kits, thankfully I came across this thread. Would love to see and hear more about what your guy has done with the tuning specifically as that is our last major detail we are wanting to work on.
