If it takes the same direction as your forum status thread, it will vanish. Perhaps @BuzzCap7 can explain that one?

....shhhhhhh............ Dunno.

This reminds me of the Outback Steakhouse???? "No rules, just Right."

Dunno DavidXer. <--Oh BTW, I hear your User Name is really DavidXXXL right? Like in triple extra LARGE? Sry. too funi in 'me head. Sometimes I don't have no filter. bwwaaAAAHHHH!!

To your question.............nvr really had issues here in the testing area. Outside of the testing area, staying on topic is usually in order. Derailing is more of a no-no. But in here, it (I am figuring) like more open to have fun and play around. Goof off within oen another's posts. As long as the players here are not really screwing up with someone here is really trying to test.

Heck, when you see people like BarnieBoy is let in, that already means, reach for you beer we're gonna have a GRAND 'ole time! And a lowering of morals would be in order.

Oh, BarneyBoy used to be BarneyMan but he got demoted. oh oh OH OH HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!LOLOLOL!!!

DavidXer, I'd take it as a compliment if others feel comfortable 'nuff with you do goof of, play around in your post here. As long as it is done respectfully like no one is REALLY trying to crap on you or anything. Know what I mean?

Anyway........your posts outside of here should certainly be well respected like everyone else.

Make sense?
Spoiler

Oh, regarding the disappearing of threads..........these in the testing area typically hang around for a good amount of time. That way HDFers here can work on their test threads.

They used to disappear in 24 hrs. Not so much anymore.

The other one you referred to regarding User Status thingy, it was decided not post that info. So, POOF! All gone...

The above answer means the level above the moderator(s) put the kibosh on it, flushed into electronic heaven never to be seen again.

Looks like you are getting around to the different areas of HDF. Good on you. Just give yourself a while before you visit the POD, lurk in there a while before getting involved - just saying

I post in the various sub forums when I feel I have something of value to contribute. I learned a valuable lesson yesterday. Never offer advice on situational awareness to a retired motor cop.
