The Dark SideFor those members running "Car Tires" on their scoots. This is for their discussion only and not a place for "non dark siders" to mouth off about their negative opinions of this idea!
I've got the Yokohama Avid Ascend on a 2012 Road King. It's been doing good, getting ready to try the double dark side. Front tire is about worn out.
First a little thread hijacking....
I am about to go double dark also, looking at a BattleAx BT-45 in a 150 size. Gonna run it normal direction. How about you?
Now an answer to the OPs question.
I am running a G-Max 205-55-16 with Ride On tire sealant to balance it. My air pressure is 37 psi cold.

I have run several BT45's on the front. The first 4 or 5 I ran in the normal direction, but I was seeing a lot of tearing in the rubber. The last one I had on had a lot of seriously deep gaps where the rubber ripped open. It only had 11K miles on it and still had good tread.
I changed it out and mounted the new one in reverse orientation. I've got 14K on this one and no rips yet. I'm not saying the mounting direction made the difference. I'll have to wait and see.
