The Dark SideFor those members running "Car Tires" on their scoots. This is for their discussion only and not a place for "non dark siders" to mouth off about their negative opinions of this idea!
2014 ultra classic, 180 65 16.

What does this MC tire convert to on a CT?
Thank you
1) 205-55-16 - Widest tire, speedo will under read approx 2 mph.
2) 195-55-16 - Narrow tire, speedo will under read approx 2 mph
3)205-60-16 - Widest tire, speedo will be fairly accurate. (or as accurate as any HD speedo)
4) 195-60-16 - Narrow tire, speedo will be fairly accurate. (or as accurate as any HD speedo)
Some say the narrow 195 series tires rides more like a MT. If that's what you want why are thinking about installing a CT?
So now you know the important stuff, time to figure out what to do.
Ive been running CTs for years on electra glides have used both 195/55R16 and 205/55R16 I don't notice any difference. Currently have a 195 on my 2014 Ultra Limited and have a 205 mounted up ready to go when its worn out. The 205 makes the speedo a little more accurate however I have a Power Vision tuner and I just adjust it with that so its correct.
