Not many posts on the DS forum, does anyone have anything new they experienced with their CT? Punctures, handling issues, funny comments from bystanders?

I have had several people ask me about mine, if they have a negative tone I simply explain that it's a DOT tire and tell them to have a nice day. There is a genuine interest from a lot of people, but they just can't quite get over the fear of switching. As for issues, I only have a little over 500 miles on mine (Winter sucks) but no issues at all. There is a different feel to the tire and a few unexpected moments on various surfaces but nothing that took me by surprise or felt unmanageable.

My biggest surprise was thinking that the flat tread would make it easier to roll to a stop with my feet up longer, I have always prided myself on stopping completely and then putting my foot down when conditions were safe to do so. Any crown or imperfection in the road makes the CT want to fall to the lowest area so it's actually harder to do that now.

The best advice I received was from a valued member here, he told me to let the bike come to me instead of trying to push the limits. That's definitely advice worth passing on when big changes are made like this.

One question I do have for other DS riders, did you notice that you have more lean angle now? I couldn't picture how at first, but looking at things, the area of the tread I'm on at a sharp lean angle is closer to the lower side of the bike and that equates to more available lean before scraping.

Nothing new that I know of. Same old warnings from those who seem to know all about it despite never riding on one.

I would expect that a wider tire (205 vs 195) would allow more lean angle....

Just takes a bit to get used to after not riding it for a while, ie 2-3 months. Other than that, I don't really pay attention to the lean angle, I just ride the hell out of it.

I definitely have more lean angle than I did on a MT. Can't recall a time I've gone more than a week or two at the most without riding, so that's not an issue.
