99 Electra glide 95ci to 103ci. Problems idling.... 4 3/8 screaming eagle crank 103 cylinders and pistons 202cams stock compression replaced ecm and tuner with the thunder max ecm and tuner have 30 miles on rebuild of motor issues idling. Bike had big bore kit before rebuild
Yes the person that rebuilt the motor programed it all in the ecm and tuner..... had to go with the 95ci settings tho.... which thunder max told him to use.... bike was idling just fine till he started to do the riding part of the break in of the motor..... he did an extra week of doing start ups and shut downs of bike.... he programed it all in then was worried he might of did something wrong so was waiting to hear back from thunder max so did the extra week of starting it u p then shutting it down and throwing a fan on it.... now every once in a while it dies on idle when warmed up
Have you down loaded the program and instructions from Tmax yourself to your PC? That is the best way to make sure of any updates and upgrades to the program. When you plug in the Cable from your PC to the ECM and follow the directions, then you might have a better idea of whats going on. The typical idle is set at 982, and if you click on the monitor tab it will show whats going on with ECM while it i running. There is more posts in the tech section on TMAX.
I haven't done anything with it yet just picked bike up last night and my mechanic was having this issue and didn't know what to do besides ride it hopefully come out of it.... so he had 30 miles on the rebuild of motor.... instead of paying him to ride it I grabbed bike to do the break in get it up to 100 miles hopefully be running right if not take it back.... just looking for ideas mean time what I could do....
Is it running the original magneti marelli throttle body or did they switch to a newer delphi throttle body?
Original fuel system thunder max said all I needed was the ecm and tuner and be good to go 88ci to 95ci to 103 4 3/8 screaming eagle crank 103 cylinders 202 cams step up from Stock done when big bore kit was done....
