05 Electra Glide Idle Issues
I have read a number of posts and threads discussing this issue, but would like to get some input based on my specific problem.
I have a 2005 Electra Glide EFI that untill the past few months, has run great for 6 years. Engine mods include S&S 510 Cams, PCIII, Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1, Vance and Hines Ovals. The bike has all the torque and power that I want and need.
The problem I am having is this. When I start the bike it will idle and run fine for about 5 to 10 minutes, at which time the idle drops, the engine sputters and stalls at idle. It will continue doing this untill the engine reaches operating temperature then all is good. Should I stop some where for a couple of hours and the engine has a chance to cool off we go though this pattern again.
The temperature sensor has been replaced with no change.
I have also read posts discussing 2006 Touring bikes with similar issues which were resolved by a recall notice that called for replacing the injectors which seems to solve the problem.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
