Thought I'd share my experience.
Wife booked us Saturday evenin for Father's Day. We took the cage and that was a good thing. It is not an area I'd take a scoot. It's a walk around, rent a moped, kayak, bicycle, kind of area. It gets very congested and everyone friendly. It does has a noise ordinance after 9PM and is fairly quiet in general.
A place to kick back and enjoy the peace, beach and sun. Reservations at a place call 'Sunrise Garden Resort'. Quaint garden setting with a pool and very clean. The other place of interest was the Sandbar, 5 star restaurant on the beach. The chef even knew what Pittsburgh style was when I ordered the filet migon, waiter didn't > Laffs. Oh yeah, I did order the stuffed shrimp too > yummy.
If you're looking for a quiet weekend, the area is sweet and very layed back.
Leave your scoot at home and give all pedestrians the right of way.
