Evidently we are close 'nuff to the beginning of Hurricane season (June - Nov.) that there is already a disturbance way south of KW where they are not naming it yet but have an eye on it.
So "heads up" my friends with Hurricane Readiness. <-- Whatever that means to you esp. considering this COVID-19 stuff.
the usual hurricane preparedness, trim trees, reduce the amount of stuff in the freezer, start loading up on canned and packet food, make sure I have a spare propane canister for the BBQ, candles, batteries for flashlights. I've been in Fl 15 years so I'm pretty prepared.
Get ready to load up on supplies and wait for that CAT 12 storm. The hurricane models will all predict that the storm will hit sometime between now and whenever and will make landfall somewhere between Key West and New Jersey. Then it finally hits, the sun comes out in the morning and I'll go out and sweep up the two dozen leaves that were blown off in the driveway. Now wait for the next one.
To be honest, except for the 4 that hit us in 2004, I've lived in Central Florida since 1956 and have only really been through 1 that really sucked, and that was Donna when I was a kid. Can't really complain considering Florida sticks out like a limp dick into the Gulf. The panhandle and coast along Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas seem to get it worse. Andrew WAS bad for South Florida, though.

Yuppers!
I should check the projected paths again come to think of it. Last I saw most all or all were hits on Florida. Yikes! Actually personally I think hurricanes are FUN. I know, dumb but.............exciting nonetheless.
