Gibtown, Webster both sound like good Ideas. Not interested in Leesburg bike fest. I havent been to any major rallys since 2016 and I recently went to Octoberfest in Daytona never again. People have gotten really weird and low. In just a few years it went from some cool stuff and some not cool people to completely not cool people. I doubt Ill ever attend any large bike deal again. Rather just ride to Sons of Speed races and plan trips with smaller local crews.
Living in Lake City I would be fine with that, but sometimes that time of year can be some damn cold riding up that far north in Florida as well as room rates go up for the event in nearby motels .. Was thinking after Easter if want to rent a room and rates are far more reasonable and then do some group rides and have a have a bit of fun after the rides ..

I almost moved up to that area when I was on the job and offered a position with the state there but I chose Daytona instead.
After that, we always wondered what it was like living in that part of Florida, now... we have contemplated moving up that way and buying a place with a few acres but it's so desolate and no stores or medical facilities around except for in Jacksonville which is some distance from Lake City...
I organized the rally a few years running till Covid killed it off. It got so hard trying to find a hotel with a bar/restaurant on site though we did manage in Palatka for a few years until the management messed us around with room allocation and contractors.
There was also less and less interest.
As a side note I sold my bike last week. Started to feel nervous about the drivers and felt like I was losing interest. I am still around but not as much on the forums. Though if somebody put a rally together I can always drive there (or get another bike some day!).
