Trip to So Fla
Hi All
I'm a new member here at the HD Forums. Been riding since I couldn't reach the ground, and have commuted to and from work most days for the past 10 yrs or so, but just recently started riding a Harley.
My wife and I will be spending a couple of nights in South Beach area (39th and Collins) after a 5 day cruise. It's our 25th anniversary year
I've traded a couple of posts with MasterBlaster and he has kindly directed me here. Sez you're all good people. Does he really know you????
Anywayz, we're planning on picking up a rental bike on the afternoon of June 6th and will ride down to the keys on the morning of the 7th. Plan A is to make it as far as Long Key. It depends on how my wife is doing.
Two places I'm planning on stopping at are Lorelei Resturant/Bar and John Pennekamp Park. This is just based on info I've found on the net.
I've got a rental resvered at Petersons HD, but at the South location. After chat'n with MBlaster, I'll be calling the North location today and get a rental there due to easier to get to and from the hotel.
So.... Anyone care to chat, help me out with any local info, maybe join us on the ride, point me in the direction of young party women (oh wait, anniversary) scratch the women part.
BTW, my BIL and I just returned from a week over at the Laughlin NV/AZ ride. He's got an '09 RK and I'm riding an '07 Heritage. We broke 'em in riding from Laughlin to Flagstaff, down thru Sedona and Jerome to Prescott. Then across the desert and back up to Kingman and to Laughlin. Fantastic weather the whole way.

Great riding in northern AZ. I miss the Sedona / Oak Creek Canyon area.
Too far away for me to help you out here in FLA but there are a bunch of great people here that will help you out. Ride safe.

I'm sure the N. Cuba Chapter of the Fl Crew will show you around down there..

If get down to Key West be sure and at least stop in Sloppy Joes .. Hemingways hang out... also get a picture of Southernmost point in the US at least still is for me although technically Hawaii claims that right now...
