Wow, note to self: Never stay at the Blue lagoon!
Holy crap, we arent exactly the primp type either and there are still plenty of denials to return to this hotel. What a hell hole it must've been.
lets say for the keys it was cheap, it like $90 a night or something like that? . we had TV trays as night stands, tile floor and it did have a musty smell to it
Another reason I don't like the keys..prices.
I understand its a hassle to have everything delivered down to the very tip of the state for a series of small islands down a 2 lane road. I just don't see the excitement of being on the small islands more than a few hours.
Then again, I've been in Fl my whole life, nothing new to me.
Maybe I'm just grumpy because I havent been riding in a few months? Sorry if I come off that way.
Barbara and I are through with hotel/motels where you have to spray "Old Spice aftershave" around the room before you settle in.
We also learned on a trip back from Virginia that if the hall ways smell like urine....that is the best it is going to get.
We may be thinking about making this trip...(don't know if we will stay at the same place as you all).
Chuck the mensh (I will rent a car and sleep in it)

I'm with you... I look forward to hanging with the crew. But I plan on sleeping where the bed bugs DON'T bite !!!! The last questionable motel I stayed at had a 4 foot round blood stain on hte carpet at the foot of the bed.
All I Know is I'm not going to ride 5 hours to sleep in a dump, alot of nice bed & breakfasts in Key West, also the Pier House is awsome. I'll check out some places and post up.

I've stayed at the Pier House too... it is very nice.
