I just got back from an after 100 plus mile after dinner ride. When I was about 35 miles from home I went to adjust my right hand mirror. So I went to set my cruise control. To my surprise it would not set. I kept trying to no avail. Then at a stop light I noticed my check engin light was on. I did a U-Turn and headed right for home. After about 25 miles I noticed tha tthe check engine light had gone back off. I then tried the cruise control again and it was working again. I rode3 past my exit to stay out and ride some more. I tried cruise control again, but this time it did NOT work. The check engine light did NOT come on again and after a while cruise control started working again.
Has anyone seen this happen before? At any rate, it is headed back to the delaer in the morning.
Steve,
i have seen it dozens of times, don't worry.
you should check your blinker fluid level or try lubing the muffler bearings..
you can thank me later
good luck

You should cut and paste this into the Touring section. Sometimes they give the best advice before going to the dealer. This will mitigate the BS factor at the dealer.

So I just dropped it off.... I figure it's under warrenty, let them worry about it. The Service Manager said the check engine light was part of the cruise control not working.
I had a laundry list for them to check, so it was best to let them look at it.
Oil leak
Front tire hum everytime I lean even a little left. (has nothing to do with my political views)
Check engine light
Cruise control
Warrenty gas tank thing (the do not have the parts yet)
