I just got my first Harley in January. I haven't been able to find anyone my own age who also rides a Harley. It seems like everyone is much older than me. I'm not too young, 38, but certainly not as old as most of the people I see riding around here.

I'd like to get together and ride often with a group, but even the local HOG chapter is full of what seems like a bunch of old foggies. No problem with them, just want to hang with folks my own age.

Anyone else having this issue or know of a group of younger riders?

ah, old fogies, yep thats Harley for ya, hehehe just kidding, you are on the youngish range but there are a more than a few younger than you here and many that were wearing satin disco pants and shirts with wide collars and platform shoes when they were your age. We are the oppisite of HOG in every aspect except that we do have some seasoned crew members some younguns also so jump on in here. BTW dont let the age fool ya in this group, most of this generation invented the psyco biker stereotype and my generation was the first crazy *** crotch rocketeers. What kind of riding experience do ya have. Check out this section for some rides to jump oon, me thinks you will enjoy.

Age is no factor with us. My 23 yr old son rides with us more than with kids his own age, fits in perfectly and is treated with the attributes of the next sentence. What matters is respect, courtesy, friendship, and safe riding. Age is just not important with us!

Nicely said MJ, age certainly is not a factor as MB says as well. I myself am a 'younger' crew member (35) but I have never once felt out of place (except that one time on 27) and they never look down at me or insult me, or make fun of me or tease me..

Rofl just messin, theyre just a bunch of guys that look past all the superficial BS and see you for who you are. So as long as youre a good person you should fit in just fine.

We may be same age group as HOG but theres definitely a big difference in opinions as to what a good time is.

We don't care how young and inexperienced you are.
I like coming down to Brevard and riding Tropical Trail every
now and again.....but being 52 years...I have to nap and pee
frequently (sometimes seperately).

Hey bro, I know what you mean, but honestly I am 32 and I have a hard time keepin up with those old farts sometimes. Everyone around brevard is cool and there is a few of us young bucks around, your welcome to ride with us anytime, we will be heading up to bike week at the end of the week for some good times. PM me if interested!

But for the record I love hanging out with the old dudes thats where I learn all the good tricks from. Thanks

Being that you're in your 30's we have lots of rules and tests you'll need to take and pass. But once you ........ Oh wait sorry, thought I was in the HOG Forum.....

NO RULES, JUST RIDE!

This is only the 2nd bike I've ever had. I rode very little as a child. Typically friends would have bikes and I'd ride theirs. My first bike was a Triumph TT600 (2001). I loved that bike, but finally dropped it in an intersection and got a little scared about riding for a while. For the past few years the desire to get back on has been creeping up on me and finally I decided to take the plunge late last year. I bought the bike on December 31 and don't regret it one bit.

I'd really like to take a nice long week-long ride at some point. Do some camping, etc. and really go somewhere different. I've ridden all around Florida (in a car) so much that I'm a bit tired of the boring, flat, straight roads we have around here.

Bike week sounds fun though. I'm planning on heading up the 2nd weekend with a few people that ride who I know.
