Congratulations Bill...again !!! Now look around for a new neighborhood with streets in, but not many houses, so there is not much traffic. Lots of space to practice the fun stuff like U-turns, turning left and right from a stop sign, slow riding, picking up your bike by yourself, etc.

Thanks..again
I've got an empty area way in the back of my neighborhood with about a 1/4 mile of road I'm gonna go play with the bike on. Maybe later today.

Not ready to get on the road yet with it.

LOL! I can just see your neighbor in my mind. To Funny, all worried about what somebody else is doing. I bet she ran into the house and called everybody she knows.

Congratulations on getting the Scooter back and just tip around for awhile until you get the feel for your bike. Everyone of us on this whole Forum were right where you are now at one time. Some a long time ago and some not so long. Point being is that you need to learn at your own pace and never ride beyond your abilities. Try to relax and not hold a death grip on the handlebars and make all motions fluid, not jerky. Always squeeze the brake instead of grabbing it. Get used to it and take the Experienced riders course as soon as you feel comfortable. Its great because you get to use your own bike on the msf course and plus they show you some more advanced maneuvers. It is only one day and well worth taking.

Look forward to meeting you and your family next weekend as well as the old bitty up the street. LOL, I have a little bit of EVIL in me sometimes. I hope she is home!

Nice to meet ya today, Bill! Don't forget the tennis *****...or you can use empty beer cans. As a matter of fact, use the empties. They will crunch and you can hear it if you hit one, the ***** don't make a sound.

Note to the crew...
Bills low speed manuevers are OK, but will be better with practice. His "slow race" is very good, and his circles range around 24-30'. I think he will have that tightened up to around 20 by next week.

I also think he will be fine on the street if he wanted to go out that far.
I think we need to get him in a short group ride next week.

or maybe not?

Yeah, I think we should! He'll be fine.

Jeff - I Gots lots of available space out here to play on. Think I'm gonna tackle the traffic circle we have tomorrow, and maybe the mini-dragon we have as you enter the development.

Dave - I hope not to repeat myself in regards to the accident department. Now that I've been able to ride a little I'm glad I decided to buy it now.
As for the PITA down the street, its like a regular Peyton's Place around here most the time. I'll see about trying to do the experienced rider class sometime this summer depending on if I can find me a job or not.

Jerry - same here. I'll just be sure NOT to schedule the alarm system rep at the same time one of the Crew is coming by, again! Sorry about that one!

I really enjoyed the "instruction time" today. Maybe i'm remembering more from my November class than i thought i would now that i''m on a bike again. The bike handles alot better than I expected, and my blatant fear of riding isn't so bad anymore.
Will try to get some cans together and go crush 'em tomorrow. I like that secluded road to practice on.
Will let you know how my trip down CR13 to the gas station works. Thanks again for helping me today! Bill

Just read biznitch's sig line (good one hon) and preemie's (Thundermug) both having to do with my <ahem> unscheduled events. Now i feel I should coordinate something with Murphy's law, but with my luck everything will go right.
I gotta say though, even with all the mishaps I have. You guys still stand by me. Metaphorically or literally on the side of the road. I just wanted to say thanks oh and apologies in advance for what may possibly go wrong
