Iv'e been itchin to get a mount for an american flag and my union flag on the bike. Since I dont have hard bags or a tourpack with the luggage rack, it seems I wouldn't want to fly a flag according to Harley.
I started looking in aftermarket catalogs and theyre around $50-120. That's just insane! I will say J&P (forum sponsor) was the best at $50 by pro pad. I did read in PGR that someone found a mount at a boaters supply house, they have the rings that clip into the holes in the flags for the boats so it may require some alterations. But I picked up two for $20 that inclused shipping!!
I looked under several boating web sites and found this one to be the most useful, here it is for those in the same predicament. http://www.boatersworld.com
I'll be interested to see how you make out. I tried sticking the hard bag one on my tour pack. I had to circle back and pick it up on the side of route 75. I just could not let the flag lie on the side of the road. It had gotten run over a few times. I also bought a 3 inch flat cabinet pull to mount on the back of the bike. But once I layed it out to drill the holes, I ralized the angle would be way of. So now it is hanging in my garage.
You had better be careful with that Union Flag down here. Some hardcore traditionalist might decide to take you out. Just saying.....
I hear ya Dave, I know theres some haters out there. Being a Union man, I don't judge the non-union like they do us. I take pride in both my Country and Union, they have both given me everything I enjoy today. What good is pride if I'm too afraid to show it off.
Funny... I was just saying to my brother last night that I was thinking about getting mine down here. He graciously enough offered to ship me down a 9mm when I do. There's only one other person I have seen that is armed more than him.

Hey Yankee boy, I think he thought you were talking about flying the Union Jack in the south. Some of us homeboys ride under the Confederate flag down here.

LOL another one over my head, uh..yeah I'm certainly a southerner but not that hardcore to fly the confederate flag. The union flag in mention was my IBEW electrical Union flag.

Yep...I was beginning to think he was a carpetbagger!

Kimbos right, I never even thought about the IBEW. That would be okay to fly with pride if thats your thing.
