From what I have heard, the normal format at Herbs which has been a biker party, food, band...etc on the last sunday of the month, has changed. The new format will be the last saturday of the month instead of sundays. The reason for the change as I understand it, was the county used to enforce establishments to wait until 1pm on sundays, then in the past couple months, changed the time to 12 noon. Herb felt like he was loosing a lot of business and decided to move the money making day to saturdays. Makes sense to me. Also on saturdays, he can start selling beer at 7am if he wants to. Donno what time he plans to open, but just throwing out a headsup.
The cape coral bunch is planning to ride up this coming saturday July-31
Sounds like a better deal. We went there once on a Sunday at about noon...We were the first ones there (Herb hadn't shown up yet)...3 of us, the bar "maid," and a scrappy-looking dog. We had a coke and hit the road back to Tampa.
The event starts at noon, on Saturday with Sarasota Slim. I'm sure if there open, they will be serving. Here's a map for those who have not been there.

Must have picked the wrong Sunday, noon has been to early out east for about the last year. They stared enforcing the no alcohol before one on Sundays and killed the early morning riding out that way. They normally draw a good crowd for the cookouts.
