Default FL Crew - Heads Up GPS Users

For those of you that rely on your GPS, make sure you've got a backup plan for the next month or so.

This thread is for information purposes only.
I really don't care what your opinions are on the pros and cons of using a GPS.

Well, my opinion on GPS and the people that use them.....oh wait, you do not want to hear opinions about it.

I think the Government has been using Satellites to listen in on my conversation through my TV in the living room. There are also times where it whispers things in my ear. I truly believe this is causing the GPS issue.

I also notice when I use the microwave at 2:15 AM on a full moon night, I soil myself.

Back on topic: I am also glad that I can read a map.

Thanks for the info cHarley.

Update: For what its worth. I spoke to a guy that does surveying with GPS, he said that the disruption was not supposed to affect anything lower than 4000 ft in elevation, so only airplanes should be effected.

Not sure how that will work. I think cHarley's idea of having a backup plan is wise.

I just read the NOTAM for MIA and the inaccuracy decreases as altitude decreases.
