which dealer did you get the new bike from ? i know from your novel that it wasn't sunrise lol
lol ... and thanks for the offer.
I bought it at Petersons North.... to do the deal, they dumped all dealer fees except 16.00 document filing fee. That alone put Sunrise 1500.00 out of the running.
Thanks to everyone for their input. Ended up calling Randy in Ocala(as suggested here) and he had what I was looking for. Bought it Sunday and they delivered it today. As soon as she's broke in, I'm gonna try to catch up with you folks on the weekend. Hope these photos come thru, not sure if I have enough posts...
NOT worth the ride to Daytona. They won't deal. I bought two in Sanford and got a decent deal both times. No hassles or BS and got what I was promised. Ask for JD.
+1. This is where I bought my new 2009 Street Glide (in Sanford). Absolutely stay away from Destination Daytona. They try to bite your head off.
Also bought new Fatboy (before my FLHX) at St. Augustine. But that was when Hollingsworth had the dealership. Haven't dealt with new owners.
I like Kimbo's idea too. No state should be off limits to you. But be ready for phone calls to probe your request. Anything the dealer has on the floor will be a better deal than the price they'll give you if they have to order you one. If they claim they have "your bike" in front of them, get them to give you a VIN number before you drive anywhere.
If you find a bike out of state (or outside home turf), post-up here on the forum. Someone local can run down and take pics for you.
CRAP..... Never mind. Didn't realize that you bought your new bike. Hey.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Welcome to the Road King subsection of the Florida Crew! Lets Ride!!!! I am only about 20 to 30 minutes away from you and can show you some great places to ride to locally. Congrats on the new ride. We can break it in Saturday if you want and be done with it.
Here a Little Late but Congrats on the New Ride Gotta love the King .. If I had been around earlier would have suggested Ocala and Crystal River Myself .. Although Gainesville HD has been good to me as well, both in Sales and Service ..
