Posted this in the General Forum but re-posting here for you experts! My hsuband and I will be in Cedar Key for a week. He's mainly fishing but we'll have our bikes. I need some road trips while he is on the water. Any recommendations on places to go, roads to travel? Thanks for the help.

Welcome to Florida!
There is great riding out from Cedar Key.
You are only a few short miles from the Ocala National Forest. Make plans to pass through Fort McCoy at least once.
Stop by the Driftwood Resturant in Williston for breakfast but don't mention my name. It is one of the many places I have been ask to "just pay my bill and leave"
Others will post with more information but don't miss the Ozella Trail which is a little south.
Might want to Cruise down Hwy 19 and check Ozello Trail at Crystal River if Gators Link didn't include that, is on the way to Homosassa .. They also have a nice seafood restaurant at the end of the Trail but can't ever remember the name of it ..
What dates are you guys going to be here? I know the area a little, especially back towards the Ocala horse country and National Forest areas. Both are awesome riding. I know a shortcut......... Maybe get a ride together and show you some of the highlights of the area.
Ya trailering down or riding? If you are riding let us know and we may be able to scare up a welcoming committee to meet you on your way down!
Thanks for the help. We are trailering down Friday so my hubbie can bring the kayaks with him. He is fishing Saturday but I'll check with him on a ride for Sunday or MOnday. I'll get back with you all on meetin up. Appreciate your help!!
