It is hotter and muggier here in the summer than where ever you came from. It gets cold here in the winter, so when you say " I should have stayed in ("where ever you live now"). We will say, "Move your *** back there." We have bugs here. We have alligators. Most of us have seen both. It rains in the summer. Hurricanes...not so much, but we hear about them 22 hours a day on the TV.
Florida crew is mostly good people. Hard workers for the most part, except for the two trying to find a job, and three retirees, and the other one.
Hope you like it here.

RIDE LIKE NOBODY SEES YOU BECAUSE THEY DON'T!
In Daytona last week an 89 year old man pulled out in front of a bike right at an intersection. Killed the women on the spot, the fellow is in critical condition.
Just be careful out there.
Oh ya a motor cop died last week as well, way to bad because it sounded like he was a good fellow.
We are here because we love the weather here.

Hope you can get used to 4 or 5 lanes of traffic all going the same way, and 8 or 12 lane roadways and intersections.

I headed to Tarpon Springs in March and rented a nice Heritage while there. The ride down the Golf Blvd. was fun. Everywhere else there were too many lanes of traffic to safely see and judge their movement. I guess you can get used it after a while.

Hope the move works out for you.

You just have to know where to ride. I can ride 5-600 miles a day and never see a town that even has a four lane going through it. You shoulda gotten outta the towns and out in the country!!!!!

I've seen Segar 16 times dating back to 1976. Had pull with the promoter in Boston back then... Never got worse than 6th row center stage, got backstage passes once. When he recorded the live album Nine Tonight I was 5th row, and if you listen carefully, you can hear me yelling at two kids to "SIT DOWN !!!" twice during We've Got Tonight. It sounds like I am yelling "SEGAR", but I'm not... :-)

Welcome to Florida.
I moved to Orlando first and it was a nightmare. Moved to West of Tampa and not much better. There are lots of places to see safely. Hook up with the crew. They are great and know the area very well. They can show you more in one day than it took me all these years. Listen to what they say. They know from experience. Be safe and ride often.
