Default Daytona Bikeweek Map

The following link will take you to a web site with a Daytona Bikeweek Map...

http://jdbikermap.com/

As some of you already know, this is something that I do in my spare time each year hoping it can be of use to others. Especially to those of you that have never been to Daytona before and don't know their way around.

The map contains a bunch of useful information:

1. Exact Map Locations (points of interest) for many venues including addresses for those that want to plug it into GPS.

2. Events, Menus, Bands, etc: Web links contained within the maps "points of interest" offer a bunch of useful info like restaurant menus, band and event times etc.

3. Daytona Weather: Either in the left column or just offshore on the map there is a Sun icon. If you click on it a window will open with links to hourly, daily, or 10-day forecasts.

4. Other Links: Either in the left column or just offshore on the map there is an "Envelope" icon. If you click on it a window will open with links to other Bikeweek event calendars etc.

If anyone wants something placed on the map, post up as much info as possible. I will not post anything that is not Bikeweek-related or motorcycle-related other than restaurants etc. Also if the venue is beyond an hour or so outside of Daytona, I probably won't post it.

Feel free to use this thread as a suggestion board for rides, places to go, etc, even well beyond the immediate area.

Hope all of you going have good warm weather and a good time... JD

Awesome! That's impressive. A lot of thought put into it!
There's a thread in the Touring forum, "Daytona Bike Week", that you should post this if you haven't already.
You should start your own blog.
Great Job !!

You have Ma Barker's Hideaway in Ocklawaha in there, ought to throw Gator Joes on there as well.

JD... you are the man!!! Awesome work!
I will become a regular on your blog if it is anything like many of your posts.
Now if you're as good at drawing hits to your blog as you are at the content, you'll draw advertisers and sponsers that can help keep your efforts going.

Maybe a moderator can put this up in a sticky here, Road Trips and maybe the Touring forums. I have seen at least four of five threads asking for Bike Week information and more will come.

Map link added to the jdbikermap website for "Daytona Restaurants"

http://jdbikermap.com

You can click on the restaurant for its location and a link(s) to the restaurants website and/or menus.

Okay... just so's you all knows... Daytona Beachside main venues is pretty complete.

No where else on the internet or on Bikeweek websites are you gonna get such an organized schedule of bikeweek bands... http://jdbikermap.com

Go to the "Daytona Bikeweek Maps" page.... then open the "Daytona Main Bikeweek Map" link...

Then, out in the ocean area of the map you will see a bunch of icons... they are circled question-marks... each one representing a different day of Bikeweek...

When you click on one of these icons it will open up a schedule of main events that day... Its very easy to understand.

I will be all done with the Bikeweek maps by March 1st.

Keep the faith! JD

Default Excelent!

Could add a whole bunch more places I found over the years since 1975. But than again, you would never have any time to ride which is what the rally should be all about. Great Job.

NOTE* If you are broken down and can get to the Speedway, I am bringing a lift and full tools in my trailer. If you need a ride back home on Sunday-Monday (end of show) and are in Dade or Broward County, I should have space available in the trailer (no, I do not charge). I will be in front of the Indian & Victory display. Look up and see my flag.

Default Wrong post area

I am not in the FL crew, sorry, just as I was leaving the page I noticed the section. I just saw this post under the Southeast, please move it to the section as it would be more appropriate section as I am not a member here. I can not move or delete the post title here. Remove it if you wish, sorry.
