Key West Bound!
Wow! Can't wait now. We are headed down there on April 1st I believe. Dad has us lodging in Marathon for three nights. I imagine there will be some tarpon fishing, but the African Queen visit will be awesome, one of his favorite movies. Please keep the suggestions coming.

So we left from Poinciana this morning around 8:45. Rode down 27 to Khrome Rd, then Card Sound Road with a pitstop at Alabama Jack's for a quick snack. We missed the African Queen and Robbie's, but the trip isn't over yet. Was a pretty good ride down, lot's of straight and flat! Guess we will be headed to Key West tomorrow. Post more then...

The gators will be on the right side in canal while going west on 41
Value jet memorial near Krome and 41 on right side. Park bike near 41 and walk a block to site.(easy to miss)
Along 41 Free alligator veiwing area and bathroom stop on right side after a while (easy to see).
Along 41 Stop at Joanies crab shack on right side at least for a soda or maybe gator ribs http://joaniesbluecrabcafe.com/
Along 41 Then stop at smallest post office on left side just two minutes away as you continue on 41.

WARNING: From intersection of KROME and 41 to HWY 29 there are a total of 3 gas stations.
One at Krome(997)/US41 PLEASE STOP and GET GAS
Another rather old gas station half way to HWY 29 that is sometimes closed.
A third at crossing of 41 and highway 29 that is very good. STOP AND GET GAS.
When riding north on Hwy 29 consider a stop at AVE MARIA UNIVERSITY, It will be about 8 miles west off highway 29 and about 12 miles north of I-75 and signage for turnoff is poor.
I think the LEFT turn from hwyway 29 towards Ave Maria was oil well something and had a blinking light.
Reason for stop is the church and good drink,snack,meal stop, rather cool looking outside and inside and looks like a bishop/pope hat.
Very modern and pretty community that is in the middle of nowhere that was planned by the Dominoes pizza dude.
You can park really close to the church and go to the pub on the north side of the church.
The place will kinda confuse you after riding through all the everglades and then seeing such a planned area.
MAKE SURE YOU GET GAS AT KROME & 41 and THEN AGAIN at 41 & hwy 29..
I do NOT remember gas in AVE MARIA.
Your next gas will be north on Hwy 29 in one of the small gas stations or when you reach Labelle

Are you joking? The garden of eden kicks ***! Always our last stop of the night when me and and my girl are out for the night! Go after about 11pm, always a great time...
