Plenty hit my camper and tow vehicle today sunday from Dunnellon to stark.....lots of splats!

We were in Charleston SC this weekend and they were swarming us! My husband stopped to check his GPS and the entire back of the bike was covered. Other than Mayfly night on the Catawba I have never seen anything like it.

Really? I had no idea love bugs were that far north. Only saw a few yesterday along west coast to Arcadia. So far so good.

Those things have spread out. I ran into the spring flight in Louisiana last May. They cover the southeastern U.S.A. in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and have been reported as far north as Wilmington, North Carolina. Spreading the Love.

Driving on I 75 from Valdosta to just N of Ocala they were terrible. Ocala S to Orlando then Melbourne not bad.

Drove south of jackso ms on 55. Completly cover my lean windshield in my semi in 50 miles

So it appears they swarm in the north first with later swarms in the south. Contrary to what I would guess. Almost none today in and around Sarasota.
