I see no point in waving, I mean if all those crazy, pissed off cagers see us as unified or start thinking that we have each others back, it might make them think twice about tailgating or cutting us off when they see us coming.

When I drove my Vette's, I waved to Vettes. When I was on my bike, whether it was a Yamaha/Honda/Kawasaki or Harley, I waved to other bikers. It is just a customary salute of brotherhood. If you don't wave that's fine. If you wave that's fine. It's like holding a door open for someone = you're either a nice guy or an a$$hole. Simple
Doesn't bother me what you do. I will always wave, that's just me. I even wave to scooters. Probably brightened someone's day.

One thing I will not do is do the stupid pointing at the ground wave that everyone seems to be doing these days. Are you too f%$#$@ lazy to get your hand up and wave a normal wave like we did back in the day?? Don't know if your pointing out something in the road or your shoelace is untied.

I wave back - when I can.

Stopping, turning, accelerating, don't take it personal.

I was riding in the dark - way past the fair weather riders' curfew the other day and another sport biker hung a peace sign for longer than usual. Maybe he was bummed I didn't return it because I was turning right. Sorry mr. sport biker. I'll peace you back one day.

LEO and fire, I do wave regardless.

might want to do a little research before you knock the 'ground wave' as you call it.

At least around here,
2 fingers pointed down is a sign telling you to keep both wheels on the pavement. Frankly, I don't care if you wave, how you wave or if you don't.
I do think we are better off showing the cagers that we are a solid part of the community. Riding in a group is safer than riding alone and waving, I think, might keep some dumbass cagers in check if they understand we have each other's back. But that is just how I roll-again not expecting it from you or anyone else.

I don't know what 'back in the day' is and frankly don't remember any waving in the 80's when I first starting on pavement. I did take time to find what it was and started doing it as well. I have seen some waving like miss america (like polishing an apple) and found it funny but they were at least friendly.

I waved at two separate crotch rockets. Only one waved back. What does that say about me?
