Help with title
My friend bought a bike and when he went to transfer the title to his name the dmv blocked it due to an unnamed tax to the town. So we left but the dmv forgot to give him the title back, we are military in conetticut and the bike is a 2020 streetbob payed for in full private sale. If anyone has any ideas on how to get him a title I would highly appreciate it.
Here in Missouri you would have to go back the selling party and have them apply for a lost title. Then have them sign it over to you.
Somewhere before he can get the title transfered into his name the tax issue will have to be resolved.
He can't prove he bought the bike without the title. Does he have a bill of sale ? i sure hope so.
