I can't even tell you the last time I saw anyone wearing a three patch locally. And I mean in YEARS. There's still some interesting perspectives presented here.
I can see from this group that many would not get that I am making fun of myself, and not the clubs, so may rethink the design ideas.
Though honestly I can't see much difference in the patching (when it's in terms of a hi-viz commuter vest), and the guys that ride around as weekend warriors wearing all the "outlaw gear" minus the three patch. I think it would be obvious that I am not pretending to be something I am not.
Perhaps just a top rocker - straight instead of curved and my custom MC rider with an umbrella patch would not offend their delicate sensibilities.
Well just be careful. No sense inviting trouble. In my area even the local Marines MC had to get permission from 81 to wear patches....
While we see the humor the way you intend, the general consensus here is most of us wouldn't do the 3pc patch thing you're talking about. You sound like you really want to do it, so go ahead. Just don't be surprised if & when some 1%ers take exception to it.

you asked what folks thought... you were told... you seem to want to do it anyway...it's your world, we're just passing through it
Are some of you guys really afraid of patched dudes?
Let me clarify - do you let them dictate where you ride, what you wear, etc? I have never encountered anything like that.
Not a matter of being afraid, its basic respect. I have been riding a long time and things used to be more black & white than than they are now if you get my drift. I don't know that many 1%ers frankly, but I do cross paths with some from time to time, never had any problems and don't expect any. I still wouldn't wear a 3pc. patch.

I understand that in a club vs club scenario. But, if you were riding through a town that was someone's territory . . would they hassle you if you weren't in their club?

Ahhh, yeah, I am afraid of 1%-ers. Sorry, they are like a tribe, f&ck with 1, u f&ck with them all. And they can seriously f&ck your life up. Why bother playing silly little games? As I said, even the local Marine Corps MC had to get permission from HA to wear the Marine MC patch. 1% clubs will kill you where you stand, are you willing to kill someone over a silly patch? I know I am not. And as someone else mentioned, it is about respect. Playing the fool with some phony patch is no way to mess with them. Maybe you don't have too much experience with 1% clubs, but I have in my time, and at the end of the day I have no desire to screw around with them. Why invite trouble?

They might, it depends on their mood at the time. Never saw anybody get ****ed up, but have seen some situations where it looked like it could go that way.
