Not that I really care, but I just don't get the fingerless glove hate. They provide a better grip than no gloves at all and still allow the use of your fingers. What's wrong with that? Is it just because some posers wear them even while they're not riding to try and look cool? Because I could understand if that was driving the hate. Otherwise, I'm at a loss...
Could careless what people think or what any thing looks like. And this goes for riding with tank tops and shorts.
Everything I wear is for protection. If you have ever laid a bike down or crashed you defensively put your hands down. Ask someone who has high sided to see there gloves. The palms and finger tips are worn down.
That is the point of wearing gloves to begin with--Protection--
For the record I do wear half finger gloves and actually bought them at a pretty tough real biker store - maybe I was mislead?
As far as the chaps go - can someone tell me what non ***-less chaps are - leather pants? Are these prefered and not considered as gay as the ***-less version?

Why not drive a car instead of a bike? It has more protection for the driver and passengers if you are worried about protection that is.
Some people just don't like being all bound up in a restrictive car so they ride bikes. Some people just don't like being all bound up in restrictive full finger gloves so they wear fingerless gloves.

Just assume that whatever kind of riding gear you use someone here will give ya grief over it. It's all in fun (most of the time).
