+1 what jimbo60 said, Just like putting a girl in a combat unit full of guys. She could out perform all of them, but the unit wouldn't function well because guys are raised to treat women different than guys. My experience in the military has been that most guys treat women one of two ways and neither is as an equal: They either try to sleep with them or they can't stand them being around. I AZZZUME it would be near the same in a MC.

I think Twiggy's reference above was directed more at those clubs who place women in subservient roles but I concede that to some extent that may be to protect them as much as anything else within that society.
