Nothing is the matter with people. I wear a FF almost all the time and Harley riders wave at me all the time. Although, I do notice some Harley riders wait until they get close enough to decide I'm on a Harley.
I switched to a FF after my 'incident' and because of the wife, and I noticed the same thing....HD riders hold off until they know your on a Harley, then wave....pretty funny.
Maybe it's time that things change: wearing a full face or half helmet is cool .... and not wearing one is uncool.
Yes, years ago it was taken as a transgression on personal freedom. I heard the new health care reform act has a provision for no medical care for those who don't wear a good helmet?
I have never paid attention to how many other riders wave. I could care less what kind of helmet you are wearing. I don't even care if you look cool or not. I just don't care. Are you having fun out riding? That's all that matters.
Also uncool to wave a dudes wearing thongs, shorts and tennis shoes, and those stupid plastic neon mohawks suction cupped to any helmet!
Just kidding I'll wave to anyone on two wheels with a motor, I guess I'm not cool or elite enough to ignore people!
well that explains why the local HOG wont let me ride with them
i generally dotn initiate a wave, but will return one initiated by an on coming rider with a wave or a nod. helmet or bike is irellevent to me as the only peopel i dont acknowladge are LEO's and certain patches, if your on a honda and wave you'll get a wave or a nod, if yuor a dude wearign nothign but a thong and a full face i'll probebly bust out laughing and point but at elast its a friendly acknowladgement LOL

I don't. I wave at everybody (Although, I admit, I don't wave every single time I see another biker) .... especially if they wave at me first...I don't discriminate about what they are riding ... It could be a scooter for all I care.
I go to the doctor, she burns some skin cancer off my face. Knowing I ride a lot she recommended I wear a full face helmet until it heals. So I change from my normal half to a full face.
All right, I have to chime in here, I don't give a crap if you have a full face, no face or what the hell your riding, if your on two wheels I'm waving. If you don't wave back, no big deal. I even wave to people on bicycles sometimes, and we have a hella lot of them here in Portland.
