according to the old timers-been riding harleys since before they could walk, have owned many harleys and do all their own repairs and upkeep, think dealers are stealers-posers are want-to-be bikers. if you don't walk, talk, dress like them you are a want -to-be or a poser...someone posing as a biker...and spending lots of money at the dealer by the way.
Not quite. Walking, talking and dressing like yourself is just fine with old-timers and bikers.
Posers are people who go out of their way to walk, talk and dress like an old timer or a biker. Posers are concerned with image. Being seen in the right places with the right people.
RUBs. Rich Urban Biker They have $$$ and are comfortable buying whatever they want. They are typically materialistic and concerned about resale value or their bike and wear (the first small scratch on their bike is a major events.

Damn it! I'm not rich. I also didn't get too concerned the first time my bike got a scratch...I wasn't happy about it, just went on with my life. The first time I caused body damage to my Jeep I wasn't happy either...just picked a different line and drove around the tree rather than through it.
Yeah I am a newby on this forum, I started riden and living the { biker lifestyle)in 1976 including mc, until my best friend found the grill of a cage in 1996. Quit ridden after that for 10 years, got back into riding , mostley as a weekend warrior and suddenlly get labeled as a poser and a rub..My point is as long as you enjoy what your doing and not at somebody elses expense, who gives a sh%t as long as your having fun out there....
