Default Gotta Know

At the risk of flaunting my ignorance, I gotta know two things:

What is a poser?

What is a RUB?

Seen these mentioned several times and have know idea what they are.

Thanks,

SugsPa

Well, that helped. I don't know whether to be flattered or angry.

Poser is someone who pretends to be something they aren't. Say like a banker who dresses up like a outlaw biker on the weekends and pretends to be a bad dude.

A RUB is a "Rich Urban Biker" an example would be someone who calls his 25k Ultra a 'toy'.

according to the old timers-been riding harleys since before they could walk, have owned many harleys and do all their own repairs and upkeep, think dealers are stealers-posers are want-to-be bikers. if you don't walk, talk, dress like them you are a want -to-be or a poser...someone posing as a biker...and spending lots of money at the dealer by the way.
a rub is a rich-urban-biker. they are the people with disposable income that are buying all the new harleys and keeping the moco alive. the baby boomers are retiring in droves and hitting the road on their shiny new harleys.
posers and rubs are what harley makes their money on. they are the future of harley. the old timers need to lighten up. things are different today. it is none of their business if someone wears fingerless gloves and a do-rag...or pays someone to detail their ride for them. leave the posers and rubs alone...they may spend enough money to keep the harley davidson company around for a few more years.

Thanks to both of you, mtinner and Gazzalodi, for your reply. And naw, I don't fit into either of those categories. Just a poor hard working old man that finally got enough change together to fullfil a life long wish. To buy a Harley-Davidson. Next - an airplane. Gonna take a lot more overtime!

Gazzalodi, my son was a motorcop on LV Metro. He's still in Metro but works LE in another area now. No longer a motorcop.

Aww , Need a sugar titty ? So what if we think a lot of you clowns look like little girls playing dress up wearing mommies high heels , get over it . It's good comedy to watch .

By the way the Moco whose tit your so firmly stuck on quit me by not supporting my choice of bikes , not the other way around .
