Default Crazy Question

I have a tool bag attached to my windshield and inside it is an EZ-Pass transponder. Each time I go through the EZ-Pass lane on the turnpike, I open the bag and take the transponder out. This is a PITA, and I was wondering if anybody else has this set up and just leaves the transponder in the bag and does the signal go through the leather. The signal goes through a glass windshield on a car so you would think it would go through leather right? Just curious.

I have my ez-pass in my fork bags and never had to take it out. Also, if you have your tag registered as a vehicle belonging to the transponder if it can't be read then they will be able to charge your account by the tag number.

Thanks. I do have the Harley tag registered in my account. That answers it, thanks

i leave mine in my windshield bag when going on a trip....just make sure the right side is pointing forward or its hard to pick up and doesn't sometimes until you go through. I've carried it in my pocket before also. normally, its the one that came with the velcro strip that attaches to the one you were supposed to put on your windshield. I think that makes the print so you can read it...but i could be mistaken.

Often the metal strip on the windshield obstructs the EZPass signal, as on a Road King. Always register the plate as stated above but you can also mount it to the lid of your saddlebag or inside the faring.
