hahha I'm a vet and miss the brotherhood but im not gonna have an MC telling me where, when and how I can ride my bike, I dont like taking **** from anyone but i'm not going to go into the ghetto and start throwing my weight around I would make some friends over there before I do that, you should probably hang out with some clubs and meet some people before you go doing this, dont ask permission thats bullshit but making friends and figuring out what you really want is not going to hurt anyone. Just make sure you know what your jumping into and if you say screw it, make your vest and say the hell with everyone else and have fun just make sure to defend what you have made.
One of top three more bizarre MC misconceptions I've ever read. Do you really believe this?
You really havent figured that out yet?? I havent been here long and still have alot to learn but that part has been pretty clear.
Bet you didn't think you would be hated, mocked, put down, and judged just for showing interest. As I posted to you before... "I've learned to respect that even bigots and haters have views." On here I've learned the "ignore" feature is by far the best use of a click.
I'm just an ol' guy that likes to ride. I have never been in a bike club, HOG included. With that being said. Why would you want to flaunt a 3 peice on anything? Is it that you want the image of a BIKER? The poeple that are members of 3 pp clubs might take offence to you riding around showing off your patches. I really am ignorant to the club world. But it just seems to me you are trying to say someting.
I had a very good friend growing up whose step dad was in a MC. They were some of the best people I ever met and their bond was real. They were my inspiration to ride (even if it took me 20 years longer than I wanted to be able to buy a bike). Because of them, I have respect for those that choose to be in a club; however, if I never had that experience I probably might have a different view. Their club patch meant a lot to them and you could tell it was not given out haphazardly. One of my fondest memories was his stepdad asking me when I was getting a bike so I could come ride with him (I thought that was really cool). I now live across the country from all my family and friends and can understand the desire to have a connection. I think there is a right way and a wrong way to approach this, some people here are giving some sound advice and I have to agree that based on the OP you're probably leaning more towards a RC. I guess the question that comes to mind is why the need for a patch? That seems for you and your buddies to answer.
if you are a soldier/airman/sailor/marine and you can't understand where the respect factor enters into a MC and colors, then you should really educate yourself on this subject. it has always fascinated me and is a very good read. i have never been in a MC but i do respect the freedom they represent and would never try to challenge that.

This site definitly has its fare share of them. Thats for sure. I would rather be made fun of and mocked for asking questions and learn whats really what than spout off like an ignorant jackass. Im guilty of it. I admitt it. I thought I knew some things when I didnt. And I appreciate the people (like you and BP and others) who take a minute to set me straight. If there were more PHers around here I would buy them a beer and ask them myself. Used to be a few but I dont see them much anymore so I have to filter through the BS on here and documentaries to get the info, and you know how incorrect and biased that can be. Its taking me a while but I think Im "starting" to get the picture.

Yeah, Theres a couple smaller ones and 1 of them I can't belong to because of my religion. (They club won't let me in cause of my beliefs) For the most part we're looking something that just sets the 4 or 5 of us that ride together apart from the rest.

Get the movie "MASK" with Cher, Eric Stoltz, and Sam Elliot. In my opinion the most accurate movie representation of a motorcycle club.
