Some will tell you red bikes are fastest. Others may say white, orange, green, etc.

But black absorbs all colors and reflects none. So you get the speed benefit of every color there is, combined.

The reason black bikes are the fastest is due to a well established quantum physics law regarding micro-particle reaction to absence of pigmentation in a metal substrate environment. Sheldon covered it in detail in a 2009 episode of The Big Band Theory while boning Penny.
